Blooms In July
A sweet little pattern , just finished and taken to the shop. Busy month working on new patterns. Enjoying some swing time with a good book in the garden. A girl has to play sometime. Beautiful California Spring day has my vegetable garden growing really green. Blessings, Brook

A Lovely Gift
My neighbor and her husband went to the Kauai Museum. They were so sweet to bring me this beautiful carved bookmark and a book filled with lovely Hawaiian Quilts. Most of the quilts are 50 to 100 years. The inspiration for many of their quilt designs came from observing the plants and flowers surrounding them. Pride in creativity and individualism is the most important aspect of Hawaiian quilting and culture.
